The Parish of Oughterard
How to book an anniversary mass
The
best
way
to
book
an
anniversary
mass
is
to
send
an
email/letter
(with
your
phone
number
included)
at
any
time
to
the
parish
priest.
See
the
contact
details
HERE.
It
is
also
possible
to
ring
or
call
in
person
at
the
above
office hours, but not outside of these please. More simply:
1
.
email or letter to the parish office at any time
2
.
phone call or in person to the parish office at the above times
These
two
ways
of
booking
an
anniversary
mass
allow
the
names
of
the
deceased
remembered
to
be
entered
on
the
parish
cloud
calendar
in
addition
to
the
parish
diary.
After
Sunday
masses
is
not
the
ideal
time
therefore.
If
you
would
like
like
to
see
how
busy
the
weekend
masses
are
with
intentions,
please
go
to
this
page
HERE
and
refer
to
the
parish
cloud
calendar. Thank you.
Use of the parish offices
The
Parish
Office
Complex
includes
meeting
rooms
and
wheelchair
accessible
toilets.
A
meeting
room
may
be
reserved
by
voluntary
groups
within
our
parish
subject
to
availability.
There
will
not
be
a
fee
for
parish
faith-
based groups.
For
the
purpose
of
insurance
and
good
management,
groups
wishing
to
hold
occasional
meetings
in
the
complex
must
submit
a
written
request
for
use
of
a
meeting
room
and
nominate
a
group
delegate
who
will
provide
contact
details when reserving a room.
Meeting
rooms
are
strictly
not
available
after
9pm.
It
is
not
possible
to
use
the
complex
for
meetings
during
the
weekend.
Private
parties,
family
celebrations
or
such
events
cannot
be
facilitated
in
the
Parish
Office
Complex.
From
time
to
time,
the
meeting
rooms
may
be
available
for
extra-parish
groups.
By
extra-parish
it
is
meant
groups
that
are
not
involved
directly
with
the
life
of
the
catholic
parish,
but
contribute
(often
greatly)
to
the
wider
community.
There
will
be
a
fee
involved,
to
assist
in
services
upkeep,
that
will
be
available
on
request
(by
email).
The
fee
will
depend
on
the
services
required,
such
as
kitchen
use,
heating,
tea-making
facilities
etc.
Most
importantly,
non-parish
groups
must
have
their
own
insurance
.
All
preliminary
requests
must
be
made
in
writing
(email
preferred)
to
the
parish
priest.
Due
to
the
increased
use
the
parish
community
will
have
for
the
parish
offices, ongoing block bookings are not available.
